FitNesse, Fit, FitLibrary.NET Links
Notes on downloading, building & using FitNesse, Fit and the FitLibrary.NET
All Fit tests and the .NET code are included in the .NET port download.
Also the .NET executables for fit, FitLibrary, FitServer, TestRunner are included
in the zip files.
For a detailed description of building & code sources see
Building sources
The .NET versions used in this FitBook Examples port:
-
The original tests and java code for the FitBook examples were downloaded from
FitBookMaterialForFitNesse
-
FitNesse and the Wiki were downloaded from the latest 20060719 version.
Fitnesse.org downloads
N.B. Navigation through my version of the tests will not work properly using olderversions if fitnesse,
due to changes in syntax for symbolic links in fitnesse's 'properties.xml' files.
-
The latest Fit & FitLibrary.NET are built using the updated source at:
.NET FitServer with FIT and FitLibrary at SourceForge
.NET FitServer with FIT and FitLibrary at sourceforge appears to be the new repository,
replacing dotnet fit at fitnesse.org (where it is no longer in the daily source bundle)
and FitLibrary.NET at sourceforge FitLibrary.
The FitLibrary classes are now in the namespace 'fitlibrary' (instead of 'fit' previously)
and more fixtures have been implemented (these are not used in the FitBook examples).
-
FitLibrary.NET20060117 is built using the 20060117 source.
FitLibrary at SourceForge
- The Java versions of the FitLibrary used are built from:
The newest FitLibrary20060906delta version 17 from FitLibrary at sourceforge
and
the previous FitLibrary 20060116 from
FitLibrary at sourceforge
Thanks to
Jeff Mattfield for the excellent instruction on building Fit and the FitLibrary for Visual Studio 2005.
If you wish to build Fit, FitLibrary etc. using updated sources of Fit (at fitnesse.org) and FitLibrary (at SourceForge) you should check out Jeff's Bits.

Thanks to
Cory Foy for his great jump-start tutorial on FitNesse and .NET
You really need to check out this tutorial if you are going to develop tests using .NET Fit & FitNesse.

Thanks to
Jeremy Miller (The Shade Tree Developer) fot the tutorials which I used for the Selenium RC examples (.NET 2.0). This is a good place to start if you are wanting to do acceptance testing with Selenium in dotnet.
